HI [NAME]

MEET LOU FROM WILD COAST WEDDINGS

1. Why did you get into the wedding industry?

I was organzing weddings in Australia for a long time, and after I moved to South Africa, I decided it would be fantastic to organize weddings in SA. There are so many diverse themes that can be used in South Africa, for both international and domestic brides. And what better way to earn a living than to be part of someone’s wedding day?

2. Who has been your most interesting Client - Good or bad experience?

I’ve worked with amazing brides who have stayed relaxed through all their wedding preparations and have a ball on their wedding day. And I’ve worked with brides who haven’t eaten at all that day – and they fainted during their reception. Each wedding is so different and individual that each experience is unique – both good and bad.

3. What would you say is fashionable in the wedding industry right now?

Parasols, Chinese lanterns, hand made detail on wedding dresses or head wear, rose petals in paper cones instead of confetti, Moroccan / African themes.

4. What is this season’s colour for a wedding?

Golden chocolate brown and dusty pink.

5. What describes your business’s style?

Professional, fun, innovative, flexible and efficient.

6. What one piece of advice would you give a bride?

Take time before, during and after your wedding day to enjoy time with your friends, family and fiancé. And take time for yourself. Spoil yourself …. Rotten!

7. What do you enjoy most about your job?

Seeing the excitement on a bride’s face when she is introduced into the reception as Mrs ….. And being able to be incredibly creative and come up with new and different ideas that form part of a bigger picture of the whole event. And to be part of something that is celebrated each year – for a long time to come.
