Wedding Magazine Review

Hi Girls,

With all the wedding magazines to offer at news agents, I thought I would review a few of the magazines and let you in on the type of wedding information between the covers so you could decide whether it is what you are looking for. Its always good to page through wedding magazines to get wedding ideas, but you need to know what information you need first.

 For Local Information:

The following South African publications are on offer:

The True Love, Sarie and Fair Lady publications are well rounded magazines, offering articles ranging from make-up to honeymoon need-to-know. The magazine offers loads of pictures for basic ideas and everything related to weddings. It does not focus in too much detail on any one specific area. A BRILLANT general wedding publication at a very affordable price. I would say this is good value for money!

The Wedding Collection focusses on the detail of the day, so there are lots of wedding dress ideas and pictures. Great for South African Wedding supplier contacts and there are a few "real life" wedding snapshots and not many articles, so its great for getting ideas.

This is a high fashion magazine with very good articles, and a Bridal Dress Directory in the last section of the magazine as well as a wedding supplier directory, so if you are looking for contacts this is a good one to have. Its also in the same price range as the other magazines.

International Publications: 

Wedding and Brides are both UK publications available at CNA. These publications are great for getting international trends. They are more pricey than the local publications, but have BRILLIANT articles and are great at giving you a little bit of an edge for your special day. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND at least one of these in your collection.

This is another excellent UK publication and has pages and pages of picture of floral arrangements in all the colors and styles you can dream of. Its perfect if you are undecided about the flowers for your wedding.
